Last night I was invited by KitchenAid to hand paint my products live at KitchenAid's VIP launch event for their new domestic appliances range in Australia. The event was MC'd by Master Chef alumni, Alice Zaslavsky, and guests included leading Australian media, chefs, foodies and influencers. I designed the bow ties to match KitchenAid’s colour scheme.
KitchenAid offers professional performance, artisanal quality and iconic design with attention to detail through a full range of products. In supporting Australian artisans and craftsmanship, KitchenAid engaged a number of Australian businesses at last night's event including Edward Kwan!
As a self-taught artist (aka a lawyer), it was definitely an honour to be asked to create my art live and a ‘career highlight’ for Edward Kwan! Thanks to the Honourable Associate Justice Efthim aka my boss for letting me leave work early to prepare!
It was so much fun and I'm so lucky and grateful to have been asked to be a part of it.
Big thanks to my childhood ballet friend Alex for assisting me last night! We met when we were 12 and 10 and went through years of grueling full time ballet training together at the Australian Ballet School, and now it’s super cute that we’re doing this together!
I had to tie all the KitchenAid exec’s bow ties for them because no one knew how to tie one - they all look super dapper. Highlight for Alex was meeting Jess from Master Chef. Oh and the rose water vodka cocktails by Hartshorn Distillery really hit the spot.
